Use toothpaste to dry out pimples

Toothpaste contains silica, which is the drying agent you find in bags of beef jerky, among other things. Basically, toothpaste will dry out your pimple overnight, reducing it in size.

How to dry out pimples fast

Things You’ll Need
- 3 or more cotton balls
- Lukewarm tap water
- Cup to hold the water in
- Salt

The Method
1. Salt the water thoroughly — much more than you think it needs.
2. Dip one cotton ball in the salt water.
3. Wait for 30 – 60 seconds.
4. Squeeze out excess water out until it is damp, but not dripping.
5. Place the damp cotton ball over your large, oh-my-goodness-I-cannot-go-to-… zit. If you have several of these grouped together, try to place the cotton ball over them all.
6. Glance at your watch/clock. Wait exactly three minutes.
7. Remove the cotton ball after the time is up. The zit seems to be nearly gone, but it is only the top that has dissolved. Your acne is still there.
8. Take the other two cotton balls and place them on either side of the despised pimple.
9. Slowly, move them closer together until the tiny bump is flattened. Congrats! You’ve just conquered that giant of a pimple — forever!
10. Apply honey on the infected area & go to sleep!!

Benzoyl peroxide to dry out pimples

Benzoyl peroxide is used to kill the bacteria that contribute to acne. Benzoyl peroxide comes in different concentrations, but benzoyl peroxide with a 2.5% concentration is just as effective as 5-10% solutions, and it’s less irritating to the skin to boot. Benzoyl peroxide also helps peel away layers of dead skin, leaving brighter, more rejuvenated skin in its place

Manuka honey and tea tree oil also serve as excellent home remedies to get rid of Pimples overnight Apply either of these natural cures after washing the face. This treatment, however, works best in case of minor Pimples.

Wondering how does Colgate toothpaste get rid of Pimples? This mint based toothpaste usually dries out Pimples and hence heals them quickly. Another tip as to how to get rid of a red Pimple overnight would be to use the ice remedy (mentioned earlier) after following this toothpaste remedy. Do not use this remedy in case your skin is sensitive as it may cause a burning sensation.

Salicylic Acid for pimples

Acne products that contain benzyl peroxide and salicylic are highly recommended for curing this Acne and Zits. Read the instructions carefully before going ahead with these products. Do not over apply these products and follow the directions cautiously. Clearasil and Noxzema are quite popular in this regard.

Baking Soda for Pimples

If you mix some baking soda and toothpaste to dab on there it helps. I’m not quite sure how… maybe the baking soda absorbs excess oil and fluids. It doesn’t work 100% but I noticed it helped reduce the size on a whitehead. Put it on right away and preferably over night.

Crush up some aspirin. Crush up an aspirin tablet and add just enough water to make it into a paste. With a Q-Tip, add the aspirin paste to the pimple(s) lightly, covering entirely. Let dry. Aspirin is another anti-inflammatory, meaning it will help the skin fight against inflammation, making the pimple less visible. Let the aspirin paste fight the pimple overnight.

Egg whites: This is more of a kitchen based home remedy. Wash your face with a gentle but cleansing face wash. Dab it dry and apply only the white of the egg on your face. Leave it on till it dries. Once the entire layer of egg white is dry, peel it or wash it off. Not only will the pimple be smaller, your skin will looks firmer and glowing.

Lemon: As you might have heard, Lemon works well for acne. Cut a lemon into halves, use the exposed portion of the lemon, rub it gently on the affected area. It will clear out all the bacteria, cleanse the skin and stop the acne from increasing. Simply put, it will dry out the zit and make it almost disappear.

Cinnamon and Honey Mask: Honey is an age old home remedy for acne. Take some cinnamon powder and mix it with honey, making a smooth paste. Now apply the paste on the affected area (or the whole face if you feel like it). Leave it on like a mask till it dries out completely. Once you feel its dry, wash it off gently. The honey should have taken down the swelling of the acne, and the pack should have made your skin firm and soft.

Astringent for Pimples

It is often recommended for individuals suffering from acne outbreaks, especially if they have oily skin. Acne and pimples are basically skin eruptions, which are usually associated with an overactive sebaceous glands. These glands produce excess ‘sebum’ or oil, which in turn clogs the skin pores and causes acne, pimples, blackheads and whiteheads. As it can constrict the skin pores, it can prove helpful in controlling the secretion of sebum or oil. This in turn can reduce the likelihood of getting frequent acne outbreaks.

These overnight methods for getting rid of acne fast are tried and tested which works very well for me and my friends. However, they are home remedies and you might not always see the same effect, as there are always lots of other factors that has to be considered, like skin type, your surrounding climate which are completely out of our control.
